Dalam rangka mengantisipasi hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan, Kapolda Maluku, Irjen. Pol. Drs. H. Lotharia Latif, S.H., M.Hum., telah memerintahkan kepada seluruh Kapolres dan jajarannya agar terus melakukan mitigasi bencana.
“Para Kapolsek dan Bhabinkamtibmas harus selalu waspada khususnya dampak bencana terutama di malam hari,” jelasnya
Kapolda juga memerintahkan seluruh Kapolres untuk menyiagakan semua kekuatan baik personil maupun peralatan. Ia juga meminta jajarannya agar selalu berkoordinasi dengan instansi terkait. Para Kapolsek dan Bhabinkamtibmas, juga diingatkan untuk senantiasa melakukan monitoring dan mengecek situasi maupun kondisi di wilayah tugas masing-masing.
