Jakarta – Subdit Siber Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya menangkap pemilik akun snack video @rakyatjelata_98. Pemilik akun, laki-laki berinisial AH, ini ditangkap gegara posting video hoaks.
Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Endra Zulpan mengatakan kasus ini dilaporkan kepada pihaknya pada Senin (25/7/2022). Polisi lalu melakukan penyelidikan hingga menangkap pelaku di rumahnya di Bandung, Jawa Barat, pada Rabu (27/7/2022).
“Barang bukti yang disita penyidik dan sudah digelar adalah satu unit handphone milik tersangka, akun Snack Video @rakyatjelata_98 yang digunakan pelaku,” kata Kombes Zulpan di Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Kamis (28/7/2022).
Kombes Zulpan mengatakan AH menggunakan akun Snack Video miliknya itu untuk menyebarkan berita bohong dan ujaran kebencian. Polisi menyebut sejumlah pejabat publik menjadi sasaran dari tindakan pelaku AH.
“Isi video itu menuduh beberapa pejabat publik hingga dapat menimbulkan kebencian,” jelas Kombes Zulpan.
Sejumlah barang bukti ditunjukkan polisi dalam rilis kasus tersebut. Salah satu barang itu memuat tangkapan layar contoh ujaran kebencian dan berita bohong yang dilakukan pelaku lewat akun @rakyatjelata_98.Pelaku AH kini telah ditetapkan sebagai tersangka. Dia dijerat dengan Pasal 28 ayat 2 juncto Pasal 45 ayat 2 UU ITE, Pasal 14 UU Nomor 1 Tahun 1946, dan Pasal 115 UU Nomor 1 Tahun 1946 dengan ancaman maksimal 6 tahun penjara.
