Jakarta – Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia (Polri) berkomitmen untuk mengusut tuntas Tindak Pidana Perdagangan Orang (TPPO).
Hal ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari arahan Menteri Koordinator Bidang Politik, Hukum, dan Keamanan (Menkopolhukam) Mahfud MD.
“Pasti ya, apa yang menjadi arahan dari Menkopolhukam, dari Bareskrim akan menjalani, kan kita sudah punya tim. Dari Bareskrim ada tim TPPO,” kata Kadiv Humas Polri Irjen Pol Dedi Prasetyo dalam konferensi pers di Jakarta, Rabu (21/9/2022).
Dedi mengatakan, dalam pengusutan dan pemberantasan TPPO diperlukan kerjasama berbagai pihak, salah satunya Badan Pelindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (BP2MI). Sebab itu, Dedi menyebut Bareskrim Polri akan menggandeng lembaga atau instansi terkait dan pihak luar negeri.
“Tim TPPO itu tentunya nanti tidak bisa bekerja sendiri juga. Tim TPPO akan bekerja sama dengan kementerian terkait, kemudian luar negeri dan juga sebagainya,” imbuhnya.
Sebelumnya, Mahfud MD meminta kepolisian untuk tegas menindak pelaku TPPO. Menurut Mahfud, TPPO melibatkan banyak pihak sehingga harus diusut tuntas sampai ke akarnya.
“Itu yang harus kita urai satu-satu. Terutama mafianya, pengerah tenaga kerjanya, ditindak saja dulu. Lalu kita umumkan jangan main-main. Ini masalah manusia, dan sudah menjadi perhatian nasional,” kata Mahfud saat memimpin rapat lintas lembaga di Kantor Kemenko Polhukam, Senin (19/9).
Oleh sebab itu, Mahfud meminta kepolisian memperkuat kerja sama dengan Badan Pelindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (BP2MI) guna menekan angka kasus perdagangan orang.
“Ada soal keimigrasian terutama, pengadilan, kejaksaan, ada catatan sipil, ada pemerintah daerah, ada bekingan oknum, kemudian banyak lagi masalah, seperti kemiskinan dan ketidaktahuan,” ujar dia.(Red)
