Jakarta – Kepolisian resmi menahan Michael (26), pengemudi mobil Fortuner berpelat dinas Polri palsu yang bertindak arogan di Jakarta Utara. Kasubdit Jatanras Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Dr. H. Samian, S.H., S.I.K., M.Si., menjelaskan bahwa tersangka ditangkap kurang dari 24 jam setelah video viral di media sosial. Tersangka pun kemudian diperiksa di Polda Metro Jaya dan ditetapkan sebagai tersangka dengan jeratan Pasal 335 KUHP.
“Tersangka dikenakan Pasal 335 KUHP ayat 1, dengan ancaman hukuman penjara paling lama 1 (satu) tahun penjara,” jelasnya.
Ia mengungkapkan bahwa tersangka ditahan di Polda Metro Jaya. Meski ancaman hukuman 1 tahun penjara, Pasal 335 KUHP merupakan pasal pengecualian sehingga Michael diputuskan ditahan polisi.
“Pasal 335 ayat 1 KUHP merupakan pasal pengecualian, sehingga penyidik dapat melakukan penahanan terhadap tersangka,” jelasnya.
Ia pun mengimbau kepada masyarakat agar tertib di jalan raya dan mematuhi peraturan lalu lintas. Polisi mewanti-wanti masyarakat tidak menggunakan pelat nomor palsu, apalagi pelat dinas Polri atau instansi terkait lainnya.
“Untuk tidak menggunakan pelat nomor polisi atau TNKB yang tidak semestinya. Menggunakan strobo yang seharusnya tidak digunakan sehingga berdampak pada arogansi di jalanan dan itu menyebabkan keresahan masyarakat dan ketidaktertiban di jalan raya,” tambahnya.
Ia menegaskan pihaknya tidak pandang bulu dalam melakukan penindakan. Segala bentuk tindak pidana akan ditindak tegas terutama jika telah menimbulkan keresahan di mata masyarakat.
“Tentunya perbuatan-perbuatan bilamana ada yang merasa dirugikan maka kepolisian segera melakukan penindakan sebagai bentuk penegakan hukum yang memberikan efek deterrence agar hal-hal serupa tidak terjadi kembali di tengah-tengah masyarakat,” katanya.(Red)
