Batam, (27/6/2022) – Dalam rangka memberikan dukungan pada hari Anti Narkoba Internasional yang jatuh
pada tanggal 26 Juni, Bea Cukai Batam bersama dengan AVSEC Bandara Internasional Hang Nadim Batam kembali amankan narkotika yang diselundupkan masuk ke dalam negeri. Narkotika berupa Methamphetamine atau lebih populer dengan nama sabu-sabu seberat 100,7 (seratus koma tujuh) gram
berhasil diamankan oleh Bea Cukai Batam dengan dukungan AVSEC di Bandara Internasional Hang Nadim pada Jum’at, 10 Juni 2022.
Penindakan yang dilakukan kali ini menjadi penindakan narkotika ke-9 yang
dilakukan oleh Bea Cukai Batam sepanjang tahun 2022.

Batam, menjelaskan kronologi penangkapan sabu-sabu tersebut.
“Pada tanggal 10 Juni 2022 sekitar pukul 15.20 WIB, petugas Bea Cukai bersama dengan AVSEC Bandara Internasional Hang Nadim melihat gerak-gerik mencurigakan dari penumpang dengan inisial D, berumur 30 tahun, dengan rute penerbangan Batam menuju Surabaya dengan tujuan akhir Lombok.
Petugas kemudian melakukan pemeriksaan barang bawaan penumpang dan melakukan proses wawancara,” Ujar Undani.
Dari hasil wawancara, tersangka tidak mengaku mengonsumsi sabu-sabu. Kemudian petugas melakukan body checking dan wawancara mendalam terhadap tersangka. Setelah dilakukan wawancara mendalam
akhirnya tersangka mengaku mengonsumsi sabu-sabu.
“Petugas kemudian membawa tersangka ke rumah sakit terdekat. Setelah sampai di rumah sakit, tersangka
mengeluarkan salah satu bungkus barang bukti tersebut. Setelah itu, dilakukan rontgen dan hasilnya masih
ada 1 bungkus barang bukti di dalam dubur,” pungkas Undani.
Tersangka beserta barang bukti Methamphetamine atau sabu-sabu kemudian dibawa ke kantor Bea Cukai
Batam untuk pemeriksaan mendalam dan pengeluaran satu bungkus barang bukti lainnya.
Dari pemeriksaan tersebut, tersangka positif menggunakan Methamphetamine dan Amphetamine, dan barang
bukti yang dibawa tersangka positif mengandung Methamphetamine atau sabu-sabu.
“Terhadap barang bukti dan tersangka diserahterimakan ke Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia Daerah Kepulauan Riau dengan dibuatkan berita acara serah terima tanggal 10 Juni 2022 untuk proses lebih lanjut,”
Lanjut Undani.
Upaya penyelundupan sabu-sabu tersebut dapat dijerat dengan Undang-Undang No. 35 Tahun 2009 tentang Narkotika Pasal 114 ayat (2) dan/atau Pasal 112 ayat (2) juncto Pasal 132 ayat (1) dengan ancaman
pidana mati/penjara seumur hidup, atau paling singkat 6 tahun dan paling lama 20 tahun, serta pidana denda maksimum Rp10.000.000.000 (sepuluh miliarrupiah).
