Bantul – Kasus penipuan di wilayah hukum Polres Bantul bulan Agustus, naik dibanding bulan Juli 2023.
Jika di bulan Juli terjadi 8 kasus penipuan, dibulan Agustus tercatat 10 kasus, atau naik 2 kasus. Sedangkan hingga tanggal 13 September 2023, kasus penipuan yang terjadi sebanyak 5 kasus.
Kasi Humas Polres Bantul Iptu I Nengah Jeffry Prana Widnyana mengatakan, kasus penipuan terjadi akibat kekuranghati-hatian atau terlalu mudahnya korban termakan bujuk rayu dari pelaku.
Terbaru, kata Jeffry, kasus penipuan yang dilaporkan menimpa seorang warga di Kabupaten Bantul dengan modus menjanjikan sebagai pegawai Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) penjaga tahanan atau Sipir di sebuah Lembaga Pemasyarakatan (LP).
“Akibat kejadian itu, korban berinisial TY (67) warga Srandakan Bantul mengalami kerugian mencapai ratusan juta rupiah,” kata Jeffry, Kamis (14/9/2023)..
Jeffry menjelaskan, kasus itu terjadi pada Rabu 29 September 2021 silam, berawal ketika korban didatangi oleh dua pelaku yang sudah ia kenal sebelumnya, masing-masing TM (46) warga Lendah, Kulonprogo dan S (62) warga Pengasih, Kulonprogo.
“Keduanya menawarkan kepada korban bahwa pelaku S dapat memasukkan anaknya menjadi ASN sebagai Sipir, namun dengan syaratnya harus menyetorkan uang sebesar Rp450 juta,” kata dia.
Tanpa berpikir panjang, korbanpun menyanggupi permintaan kedua orang tersebut.
“Adapun total uang yang sudah diserahkan oleh korban kepada para pelaku yaitu sebesar Rp301 juta,” ujar Jeffry.
Setelah menyetorkan uang tersebut, selanjutnya anak korban mengikuti proses seleksi ASN formasi Sipir. Namun setelah pengumuman, anak korban diketahui tidak lolos seleksi formasi Sipir. Korban pun menanyakan terkait hal itu tetapi pelaku banyak berkelit dan selalu menghindar.
Lantaran merasa tertipu oleh janji kedua pelaku, korban akhirnya meminta uang yang sudah disetorkan untuk dikembalikan utuh. Mereka pun menyanggupi untuk mengembalikan uang tersebut namun baru Rp100 juta. Sedangkan sisanya sekitar Rp201 juta sampai sekarang ini tidak jelas.
Oleh karenanya korban yang geram dan merasa tertipu oleh perbuatan para pelaku itu lantas menempuh jalur hukum dengan melaporkan dugaan penipuan sebagaimana pasal 378 KUHP, ke Polsek Srandakan, pada Selasa (12/9/2023).
Sementara itu, pihak Polsek Srandakan yang mendapatkan laporan kemudian segera menindaklanjuti dengan melakukan penyelidikan dan penyidikan.
