Bantul – Seorang remaja berinisial DAS (16) warga Panggungharjo, Bantul meninggal dunia usai tenggelam di Sungai Oya, Sabtu (26/8/20223).
Korban tenggelam di sungai Oya, saat berenang bersama teman-temannya.
Kasi Humas Polres Bantul, Iptu I Nengah Jeffry Prana Widnyana menjelaskan, kejadian bermula ketika korban bersama sembilan orang temannya, berombongan berwisata di Selopamioro Park, tepatnya di Dusun Jetis, Kalurahan Selopamioro, Kapanewon Imogiri.
“Sekitar pukul 10.30 WIB korban beserta rombongan tiba di wisata Selopamioro Park dan selanjutnya berenang di Sungai Oya,” ujarnya.
Selang waktu kurang lebih 5 menit, korban melambaikan tangan minta tolong karena tenggelam.
Teman-temannya berusaha menolong namun korban tidak terselamatkan.
“Warga dan personel Polsek Imogiri yang kebetulan sedang patroli langsung membantu mengevakuasi korban,” ujarnya.
Nahas, nyawa DAS tak dapat tertolong.
Petugas Puskesmas yang hadir untuk memeriksa menyatakan tak ada tanda-tanda penganiayaan di tubuh korban dan korban meninggal dunia disebabkan karena tenggelam.
Atas kejadian tersebut keluarga korban menerima bahwa kejadian tersebut murni kecelakaan selanjutnya korban dibawa pulang untuk dimakamkan.
