Dharmasraya ( Swanara.com )- Pemerintah Kabupaten Dharmasraya menerima penghargaan dari Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia (Kemenkes RI) berupa sertifikat sebagai kabupaten bebas Frambusia.
Penghargaan diterima Bupati Dharmasraya, Sutan Riska Tuanku Kerajaan, diwakili Sekretaris Daerah, Adlisman, didampingi Plt. Kepala Dinas Kesehatan, Yefrinaldi, di Karakatau Grand Ballroom TMII, Jakarta, Selasa, (21/02/2023)
“Alhamdulillah, kita menerima sertifikat bebas Frambusia, atas upaya kita untuk mencegah munculnya penyakit tersebut di Kabupaten Dharmasraya,” terang Adlisman.
Menurutnya penyakit Frambusia, Yaws atau Patek ini merupakan penyakit menular langsung antar manusia yang disebabkan oleh infeksi kronis bakteri Treponema Pertenue dan pada umumnya terlihat sebagai lesi pada kulit serta dapat menyebabkan cacat pada tulang.
“Saat ini kasus Frambusia sudah tidak ditemukan lagi di Kabupaten Dharmasraya, sehingga kita menjadi salah satu kabupaten yang pada hari ini menerima sertifikat Bebas Frambusia dalam rangka Hari Penyakit Tropis Terabaikan,” lanjut Adlisman.
Ke depan, kata Adlisman pihaknya akan berupaya mempertahankan status Bebas Frambusia yang telah diperoleh, serta menjaga derajat kesehatan masyarakat melalui pembangunan kesehatan yang berwawasan lingkungan serta menerapkan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS).
“Sertifikat ini juga sebagai motivasi dan apresiasi untuk mengoptimalkan serta meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat Kabupaten Dharmasraya, yang tidak hanya bebas Frambusia melainkan bebas dari penyakit menular lainnya,” tukas Adlisman. ( TM )
