Jakarta – Presiden Joko Widodo meminta atlet ASEAN Para Games memanfaatkan bonus yang diterima dari pemerintah untuk diinvestasikan.
“Saya ingin sedikit berpesan betul-betul manfaatkan bonus yang ada ini untuk tetap berlatih dan memacu prestasi, jangan dibelikan barang-barang mewah. Belikan barang-barang yang untuk investasi jangka panjang karena duitnya gede banget,” ujarnya.
Untuk diketahui kontingen Indonesia di ajang ASEAN Para Games berhasil membawa pulang 158 medali emas, 148 perak dan 95 perunggu.
Pemerintah memberikan bonus senilai total Rp320,5 miliar. Rinciannya, peraih medali emas memperoleh Rp525 juta, peraih medali perak Rp315 juta, dan peraih medali perunggu Rp157,5 juta.
Presiden Jokowi pun meminta bonus itu diinvestasikan dengan benar dan baik, karena nominal yang diberikan tidak sedikit.
Lebih lanjut, Presiden Jokowi kembali mengucapkan terima kasih kepada para atlet, pelatih dan asisten pelatih serta seluruh kontingen karena dengan kegigihan dan kerja kerasnya telah mengharumkan nama bangsa dan negara.
“Bangsa, negara dan rakyat sangat bangga dengan bapak, ibu dan saudara-saudara sekalian yang telah berhasil meraih juara umum di ASEAN Para Games 2023. Ini adalah yang ketiga kalinya secara berturut-turut sekali lagi terima kasih,” katanya.(Redaksiswanara)
