Kupang – Kepolisian mengungkapkan bahwa motif tersangka TPPO terhadap 15 orang di kabupaten tersebut adalah faktor ekonomi.
“Kuat dugaan tersangka ingin mendapatkan keuntungan materiil berupa uang atas usahanya memberangkatkan tenaga kerja non-prosedural atau ilegal,” jelasnya.
Seorang tersangka berinisial PD alias Lipus telah ditangkap oleh Tim TPPO Gabungan pada Sabtu (3/6), pukul 23.00 WITA di wilayah Moni dan telah diamankan di Polres Ende.
Pada awalnya, tersangka dihubungi oleh kakak kandung berinisial KL di Riau yang meminta tersangka untuk mencari tenaga kerja untuk dipekerjakan pada PT RAPP yang beralamat di Pekanbaru dengan gaji borongan Rp10 ribu per ton atau sekitar Rp 3 juta-Rp 4 juta per bulan. Tersangka PD mulai melakukan perekrutan dengan cara menemui dan menawarkan pekerjaan di Pekanbaru kepada warga di sekitar wilayah Kecamatan Kelimutu yang berlangsung dari bulan Maret hingga bulan Oktober 2022.
PD pun berhasil merekrut 15 orang korban yang diberi iming-iming dapat memperoleh penghasilan sekitar Rp 300 ribu sampai Rp 400 ribu per hari.
Para korban diberangkatkan dari Ende dengan bersembunyi di bagian belakang mobil ekspedisi menggunakan KM Niki Sejahtera dari Ende ke Surabaya. Sesampai di sana, para korban dibawa menuju ke daerah Sibaya.
Namun, setelah lima bulan bekerja di daerah tujuan, para korban tidak mendapatkan gaji bahkan dililit utang. Para korban pun merasa ditipu dan memutuskan untuk kembali ke Ende.
“Dari 15 korban yang diberangkatkan tersebut, ada empat orang korban yang telah berhasil kembali ke Ende,” jelasnya.
Tersangka pun dijerat ancaman pidana penjara paling singkat tiga tahun dan paling lama 15 tahun dengan pidana denda paling sedikit Rp 120 juta dan paling banyak Rp 600 juta atau Pasal 10 UU RI Nomor 21 Tahun 2017 tentang Penghapusan Tindak Pidana Perdagangan Orang dengan ancaman pidana penjara paling singkat tiga tahun dan paling lama 15 tahun dan pidana denda paling sedikit Rp 120 juta dan paling banyak Rp 600 juta.(Redaksiswanara)
