Batam – Upaya pengiriman 6 Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) ilegal di perairan Belakangpadang, Kota Batam Kepulauan Riau berhasil digagalkan Kapal Patroli Bisma 8001 Ditpolairud Korpolairud Baharkam Polri. Dua orang tersangka berinisial MD (22 Tahun) dan SU (33 Tahun) juga berhasil diamankan.
“Tim patroli menggagalkan upaya penyelundupan 6 orang PMI non prosedural di perairan Belakangpadang. PMI non prosedural ini rencananya akan di bawa ke Malaysia dengan cara memindahkan dari kapal ke kapal di perairan perbatasan Indonesia-Malaysia,” ungkapnya.
Brigjen. Pol. Mohammad Yassin Kosasih menjelaskan, saat mengamankan kapal tersebut, pihaknya menangkap satu orang sebagai tekong kapal berinisial MD (22 Tahun). Dari MD, pihak Kepolisian melakukan pengembangan dan menangkap satu orang lagi yang berperan sebagai pengurus keberangkatan PMI ilegal tersebut pada Jumat (2/6/23) di Batam.
“Dari tekong kapal berinisial MD kita lakukan pengembangan dan mengamankan satu pengurus yang mengatur keberangkatan para PMI ilegal tersebut yakni inisial SU (33 Tahun). SU ini yang memiliki komunikasi dengan pemilik kapal di Malaysia. Dari pengakuan MD, ia baru pertama kali melakukan pengantaran PMI ilegal. Untuk SU mengaku sudah keempat kalinya mengatur keberangkatan PMI ilegal ke Malaysia,” jelasnya.
Dirpolair Korpolairud Baharkam Polri menambahkan bahwa keenam PMI yang diselamatkan Polisi diketahui berasal dari berbagai daerah seperti Jawa Timur, Bengkulu, Jawa Barat, Sulsel dan NTB. Mereka saat ini masih dimintai keterangan oleh penyidik KP Bisma 8001.
“Mereka (PMI) masih kita minta keterangan untuk kelengkapan berkas. Untuk penyidikan lebih lanjut maka kasus ini diserahkan kepada penyidik Subdit Gakkum Ditpolairud Korpolairud Baharkam Polri di Jakarta. Untuk para korban kita akan koordinasi dengan pihak terkait untuk pemulangan,” tambahnya.
Tekong Kapal, MD dan pengurus berinisial SU sendiri dijerat dengan UU No 21 Tahun 2007 pasal 2 ayat 1 tentang pemberantasan Tindak Pidana Perdagangan Orang dan atau pasal 81 junto pasal 69 UU no 18 tahun 2017. Kedua pelaku terancam pidana penjara paling lama 10 tahun dan paling banyak Rp15 miliar.(Redaksiswanara)
