Jakarta – Polri telah mengumumkan rencananya untuk meningkatkan jumlah jabatan perwira tinggi bagi petugas polisi wanita. Beberapa polwan juga diharapkan dapat menduduki posisi Wakil Kepala Kepolisian Daerah (Wakapolda).
“Ya tentunya Bapak Kapolri sudah memikirkan, sudah memerintahkan kepada saya mencoba untuk melakukan asesmen,” kata As SDM Irjen Dedi Prasetyo di Sekolah Polisi Wanita (Sepolwan), Jakarta Selatan, Jumat (18/8/2023).
“Dan nanti tentunya ke depan ada polwan-polwan yang bisa diproyeksikan jadi wakapolda dulu. Kemudian jabatan pati polwan akan kita tambah, sesuai perintah bapak Kapolri ya,” lanjutnya.
Dedi menuturkan bahwa jumlah polwan saat ini di Indonesia belum sebanding dengan jumlah polisi pria. Ke depan, karier polwan akan diberikan perhatian lebih.
Dedi juga menyebutkan bahwa salah satu polwan, Briptu Tiara, telah mendapatkan kesempatan untuk mengejar pendidikan kepolisian di Turki. Ia juga menyatakan bahwa lebih banyak polwan akan diberi kesempatan untuk menerima pendidikan kepolisian di luar negeri.
“Karir-karir polwan kita di dunia internasional juga sudah luar biasa. Contohnya Briptu Tiara, dia sudah mengikuti pendidikan di akademi kepolisian Turki, dapat penghargaan langsung dari Presiden Turki,” ungkapnya.
Dedi memastikan bahwa sistem pengembangan karier bagi polwan akan terus menjadi prioritas, dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan jumlah polwan di Indonesia.
“Itu nanti akan kita kelola, jadi sistem pembinaan karir untuk polwan juga diperhatikan, minimal setara dengan jumlah polwan dengan jumlah polri,” katanya.(Redaksiswanara)
