Cirebon – Polisi berhasil mengungkap empat kasus tindak pidana perdagangan orang (TPPO) dengan modus yang digunakan yaitu memberikan pekerjaan di luar negeri.
“Ada empat kasus TPPO yang berhasil kami ungkap, dengan menetapkan empat orang sebagai tersangka,” ungkapnya.
Kombes. Pol. Arif Budiman mengatakan untuk empat orang yang ditetapkan tersangka dalam kasus TPPO tersebut yakni masing-masing berinisial M, R, L, dan N, keempatnya merupakan warga Kabupaten Cirebon. Keempatnya ditangkap setelah adanya laporan dari para korban dan juga keluarga yang merasa menjadi korban TPPO.
“Modus yang dilakukan oleh para tersangka yaitu dengan menawarkan bekerja ke luar negeri atau menjadi pekerja migran Indonesia (PMI). Bahkan rata-rata korbannya adalah tetangga para tersangka yang justru memberangkatkan ke luar negeri secara tidak prosedural atau menjadi PMI ilegal. Rata-rata korbannya juga diperkerjakan ke negara yang berbeda dari tujuan awalnya,” jelasnya.
Kapolres menambahkan seperti tersangka M yang memberangkatkan korban ke Turki, padahal korban menginginkan bekerja di Korea Selatan, dan bidang pekerjaannya pun tidak sesuai keahliannya. Dari empat kasus itu pun korbannya telah bekerja di luar negeri selama beberapa tahun, dan sempat kesulitan ketika minta dipulangkan ke Tanah Air.
untuk tersangka L, memberangkatkan korban ke negara Irak, di mana negara tersebut masih berkonflik, sehingga korban juga tidak mendapatkan gaji yang dijanjikan, bahkan selama bekerja hanya mendapatkan uang sebesar Rp5 juta.
Dalam kasus TPPO pihaknya menyita sejumlah barang bukti di antaranya, paspor, tiket penerbangan, sejumlah dokumen, ponsel, dan lainnya.
Akibat perbuatannya, para tersangka dijerat Pasal 4 UU Nomor 21 Tahun 2007 tentang Pemberantasan TPPO dan atau Pasal 81 Jo Pasal 69 dan atau Pasal 83 Jo Pasal 68 Jo Pasal 5 huruf b sampai dengan huruf e UU Nomor 18 Tahun 2017 tentang Perlindungan PMI.
“Keempat tersangka kasus TPPO ini diancam hukuman maksimal 15 tahun penjara dan denda paling banyak Rp 15 miliar,” katanya.(Redaksiswanara)
