Kapolresta Balikpapan KBP V. Thirdy Hadmiarso, SIK, MAP mengatakan kegiatan pengaturan arus lalu lintas sudah menjadi rutinitas anggota yang bertujuan untuk memberikan rasa aman dan nyaman kepada pengguna jalan.
“Kegiatan ini rutin kami laksanakan untuk memberikan kenyamanan dan keamanan bagi pengguna jalan serta agar terciptanya Kamseltibcar Lantas dan mengantisipasi terjadinya Laka Lantas,” ucap Kapolresta Balikpapan.
Dirinya menyampaikan, kegiatan pengaturan lalu lintas dilakukan di titik-titik rawan laka / rawan kemacetan. Seperi pagi ini bertempat di jalan raya depan tempat sekolah – sekolah di tempat jalur masyarakat banyak melaksanakan aktifitas pagi di Balikpapan.
Dalam pelaksanaan pengaturan lalu lintas ini petugas tidak hanya melakukan pengaturan arus lalu lintas saja Kapolresta Balikpapan menambahkan, keberadaan unit lalu lintas Polresta balikpapan untuk membantu masyarakat, anak sekolah yang hendak menyeberang jalan sehingga tujuan keamanan dan keselamatan seluruh pengguna jalan baik pejalan kaki maupun pengendara kendaraan bermotor dapat tercapai sehingga diharapkan masyarakat dapat beraktivitas dengan aman, nyaman dan lancar.(Red)
