JEMBER – PW (43) petani asal Desa Cluring Kecamatan Cluring Banyuwangi, Minggu (16/7/2023) diringkus Tim Kalong Satreskrim Polres Jember, saat tiba di Dusun Kebonsari Desa Balung Lor Kecamatan Balung Jember.
Terungkapnya aktifitas pria yang diketahui berprofesi sebagai petani ini, setelah adanyanya laporan dari warga yang melihat pelaku menawarkan sebuah senjata api (Senpi) kepada warga, sehingga oleh warga hal ini dilaporkan ke aparat Kepolisian.
Hal itu seperti disampaikan oleh Kapolres Jember AKBP. Moh. Nurhidayat. SH. SIK. MM, melalui Wakapolres Kompol Hendry Ibnu Indarto saat menggelar press konferens,Kamis (20/7) di Polres Jember.
“Kami mendapatkan laporan dari warga, jika pelaku yang merupakan warga asal Banyuwangi datang ke Balung untuk menjual senjata api jenis Revolver,” ujar Kompol Hendry.
Wakapolres Jember juga menjelaskan, senjata api yang dijual pelaku dibeli dari GP warga Jember pada 2018 lalu saat itu tersangka PW bersama dengan temannya yang berinisial SN yang juga petani asal Dusun Sumbermanggis Desa Barurejo Siliragung Banyuwangi.
Untuk 2 buah senpi, Purwoko bersama dengan SN membeli dengan harga RP. 5.200.000,- namun baru dibayar RP. 3.900.000.,-, yang kemudian 2 buah senpi tersebut dikuasai oleh PW dan SN.
Kemudian PW berniat senpi yang dimilikinya untuk di jual di kawasan Balung, namun tertangkap terlebih dahulu.
“Keduanya pada 2018 lalu, membeli 2 senpi dari pemuda asal Jember berinisial GP, seharga 5 juta lebih, namun baru dibayar 3 jutaan, kemudian, pada Minggu kemarin, salah satu senpi hendak dijual di sekitar Balung, tapi berhasil kami amankan,” jelas Kompol Hendry.
Status GP yang asal Jember, serta SN warga Desa Cluring Kecamatan Cluring Banyuwangi sendiri, saat ini dalam pengejaran aparat kepolisian.
“GP dan SN, saat ini melarikan diri, dan sudah kami tetapkan sebagai DPO,” ujar Kompol Hendry.
Untuk mempertanggung jawabkan perbuatannya, polisi menjerat pelaku dengan pasal 1 ayat 1 UU Darurat RI No. 12 Tahun 1951.
“Pelaku terancam hukuman mati atau hukuman penjara seumur hidup atau hukuman penjara sementara setinggi-tingginya 20 tahun,” pungkas Wakapolres Jember. (Redaksi Swanara)
