Bantul – Polres Bantul melaksanakan program penanaman serentak 10 juta pohon bersama Polri, di Obyek Wisata Watu Mabur, Lemahbang, Kalurahan Mangunan, Kapanewon Dlingo, Kabupaten Bantul, Rabu (15/11/23).
Kapolres Bantul, AKBP Michael R Risakotta mengatakan kegiatan penanaman pohon dengan cara serentak ini dilaksanakan, merupakan bentuk kepedulian institusi kepolisian RI khususnya Polres Bantul untuk melestarikan alam.
Sealin itu, juga bertujuan sebagai suatu gerakan bersama yang memerlukan kolaborasi partisipatif dalam mewujudkan Gerakan Indonesia Bersatu, Gerakan Indonesia Bersih dan Gerakan Indonesia Mandiri.
“Oleh sebab itu, hari ini kita berkumpul untuk melaksanakan kegiatan penanaman 10 juta pohon yang dilaksanakan oleh Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup, Kementerian Pertanian, Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Budaya serta menggandeng Polri,” kata Michael.
Dengan kegiatan ini, lanjut Michael, diharapkan dapat menjadi budaya bagi masyarakat sehingga masyarakat terus dapat menanam pohon di kemudian hari dan kegiatan ini akan menjadi ke bentuk kebutuhan dan gaya hidup baru di masyarakat
Menurutnya, kegiatan ini juga dapat mendorong kreativitas masyarakat dalam menciptakan value added pasca pohon tersebut berbuah Diharapkan juga dari kegiatan ini dapat tercipta lingkungan yang asri
“Kepada segenap yang hadir pada kesempatan kali ini, dapat menjaga dan merawat pohon yang kita tanam,” lanjut dia.
Penanaman 10 juta pohon juga dilaksanakan secara serentak di Polda, Polres dan Polsek seluruh Indonesia.
“Semoga kegiatan ini terus dapat dilanjutkan dan bermanfaat untuk lingkungan sekitar kita,” tandasnya.
