Cirebon.- Jajaran Kepolisian Sektor Utara Barat Kepolisian Resor Cirebon Kota, Jawa Barat, menyita 27.600 petasan yang akan diedarkan di Cirebon, Senin (27/3/23). Penyitaan petasan yang diduga dari Kabupaten Indramayu itu untuk menjaga kondusivitas selama bulan Ramadhan.
Kapolsek Utara Barat AKP Iwan Gunawan menjelaskan, pengungkapan petasan tanpa izin edar itu berawal dari laporan masyarakat. Pihaknya lalu menggelar patroli di Jalan Tuparev, Senin (27/3/23).

“Pengemudi pun mengakui barang yang dibawa adalah petasan yang hendak dikirimkan kepada pembeli. Tak lama, petugas langsung membawa pengemudi serta mobil ke Kantor Polsek Utara Barat untuk dimintai keterangan,” jelasnya.
Ia menerangkan, dari dalam mobil polisi menemukan tujuh dus berukuran sedang berisi 11.600 petasan dan 16 kardus kecil berisi 16.000 petasan. Total petasan yang disita polisi mencapai 27.600 petasan dengan harga sekitar Rp12 juta. Lalu, petugas membawa dua orang yang berada di dalam mobil berinisial RLH (22) dan WA (23) ke ruang pemeriksaan untuk diminta keterangan.
“Penangkapan ini juga merupakan upaya kepolisian untuk mengantisipasi adanya potensi tindakan yang meresahkan selama bulan suci Ramadan,” katanya.(Red)
