Jakarta – Kepolisian saat ini tengah menyelidiki penipuan dengan meminta sumbangan bagi warga kebakaran di Petojo Selatan, Jakarta Pusat.
Kapolsek Gambir, Kompol Mugia Yarry Junanda mengatakan bahwa kasus ini berawal adanya tiga orang melakukan aksi pembukaan donasi bagi korban kebakaran di Petojo Selatan.
Ketiga inisiator itu mengaku berasal dari sebuah yayasan di Jakarta Barat dalam melakukan pembukaan donasi bagi korban kebakaran.
“Datang tiga orang di daerah Petojo Selatan ke salah satu saksi. Kemudian mereka ini meminta sumbangan untuk warga korban kebakaran di Petojo Selatan yang beberapa waktu lalu, di Abdul Muis, mengatasnamakan salah satu yayasan di Jakarta Barat,” jelas Kapolsek Metro Gambir, Sabtu (22/4/23).
Tindakan dari ketiga orang tersebut lalu menimbulkan kecurigaan. Warga lalu memeriksa ketiga orang yang mengaku membuka donasi bagi korban kebakaran. Ketiga orang itu tidak bisa menyertakan surat tugas dari yayasan sehingga dicurigai melakukan penipuan.
“Ditanyakan, dipanggil Ketua RT dan karang taruna, apakah punya surat tugas, tapi mereka tidak bisa menunjukan. Hanya ada ID yayasan tersebut. Kemudian karena itulah dibilang penipuan dan dibawa ke polsek,” tuturnya.
Kapolsek juga menambahkan bahwa ketiga orang diduga melakukan penipuan itu menjalani pemeriksaan di Polsek Gambir. Sejauh ini polisi menemukan adanya bukti penipuan yang dilakukan ketiga terduga pelaku.
“Jadi sesuai UU kita harus mengembalikan mereka, memulangkan. Tapi penyelidikan tetap kita lanjutkan” tutupnya.
Meski belum menemukan dugaan pidana, Mugia memastikan kasus dugaan penipuan berkedok pembukaan donasi itu masih diusut.(Redaksi Swanara)
