Menyikapi kejahatan konvensional tersebut Bhabinkamtibmas Kalurahan Sumberarum Moyudan Aiptu Suranto menyambangi para petani yang tengah beristirahat setelah mengolah sawah dengan menyampaikan pesan kamtibmas terkait maraknya pencurian sepeda motor di persawahan.
Kapolsek Moyudan Sleman Iptu Iqbal Satya Bimantara, STr.K., SIK mengatakan, persawahan sangat rawan tindak kriminalitas. Salah satu yang menjadi perhatian adalah pencurian kendaran bermotor milik para petani.
Hal ini lantaran Kapanewon Moyudan sebagian besar wilayahnya merupakan lahan pertanian. Selama patroli ke bulak persawahan, personel Polsek Moyudan masih banyak mendapati petani yang abai dalam menjaga kendaraannya saat ditinggal ke sawah.
“Para petani harus lebih berhati-hati dalam memarkirkan kendaraan bermotornya saat ditinggal menggarap sawah. Pastikan motor terparkir di tempat yang dapat dipantau dan harus dipastikan sudah dikunci,” ungkap Kapolsek Moyudan.
Ditempat terpisah Kasi Humas Polresta Sleman AKP Edy Widaryanta menuturkan, “untuk mengingatkan para petani, Polresta Sleman menerjunkan anggotanya menyambangi persawahan,” tuturnya
“Tujuannya agar pesan kamtibmas yang ingin disampaikan bisa langsung sampai ke petani, sehingga kewaspadaan ditingkatkan,” sambungnya
“Pelaku kejahatan biasanya memanfaatkan waktu saat petani sibuk menggarap sawahnya. Bahkan kadang, kelalaian petani dengan tidak mengunci sepeda motor atau lupa tidak mencabut kuncinya, menjadi penyebab terjadinya pencurian,” bebernya
“Dengan dikunci stang, minimal mempersulit aksi pelaku untuk mencuri. Parkir kendaraan pada tempat yang mudah diawasi sembari bekerja. Ingat pencurian terjadi bukan hanya karena niat si pelaku, melainkan juga adanya kesempatan dan keteledoran si pemilik motor,” katanya.(Redaksiswanara)
