Meulaboh – Kepolisian Resor (Polres) Aceh Barat menggandeng kalangan ulama, tokoh agama di daerahnya guna mencegah adanya penyebaran politik identitas menjelang pelaksanaan Pemilu 2024.
“Untuk tahapan pencegahan politik identitas ini, kita lakukan beberapa tahapan diantaranya seperti mapping (pemetaan) di lapangan,” ujarnya.
AKBP Pandji Santoso, mengatakan pihaknya sengaja menggandeng tokoh agama dengan menjaga keamanan dan ketertiban di masyarakat, sebagai upaya untuk melakukan pencegahan penyebaran politik identitas di masyarakat.
Menurutnya sumber utama dari politik identitas tersebut merupakan berita hoaks atau informasi palsu, yang kemudian disebarluaskan kepada masyarakat.
AKBP Pandji Santoso menjelaskan, untuk mencegah penyebaran berita hoaks dan politik identitas, pihaknya juga bekerja sama dengan ulama, para tokoh agama dan Teungku Dayah untuk memastikan kondusifnya situasi di tengah-tengah masyarakat.
Pihaknya juga turut mengerahkan seluruh personel Polisi di Aceh Barat guna memberikan pendampingan di masyarakat, sehingga diharapkan penyebaran politik identitas di masyarakat setempat diharapkan dapat dihindari dan tidak terjadi.
AKBP Pandji Santoso juga mengimbau agar masyarakat dapat menyaring setiap informasi yang diterima melalui media sosial secara bijak.
“Kami imbau masyarakat agar setiap informasi yang diterima tidak jelas sumbernya, agar tidak disebarluaskan kepada masyarakat, karena dikhawatirkan dapat berpotensi terjadinya gangguan kamtibmas di masyarakat,” katanya.(Red)
