Tangerang – Polresta Bandara Soetta berhasil menggagalkan pemberangkatan puluhan calon pekerja migran Indonesia (PMI) yang diduga hendak dijual ke Timur Tengah sebagai pekerja. Polisi juga menangkap satu orang terduga pelaku tindak pidana perdagangan orang (TPPO). Kasatreskrim Polresta Bandara Soetta, Kompol Reza Fahlevi mengungkapkan bahwa terduga pelaku berinisial R diamankan di kediamannya di Karawang, Jawa Barat, beserta barang bukti.
“R sempat melarikan diri. Dan akhirnya berhasil diamankan di rumahnya di Bilangan Karawang, Jawa Barat,” jelas Kapolsek Bandara Soetta.
Kapolsek menambahkan pengungkapan kasus TPPO ini berawal dari informasi masyarakat terkait adanya kegiatan pemberangkatan ke Timur Tengah terhadap 64 calon PMI secara non-prosedural melalui Terminal 3 Keberangkatan di Bandara Soetta.
“Para korban hendak terbang dengan Maskapai Penerbangan Oman Air rute Jakarta-Muskat dan Muskat-Riad, serta Jakarta-Muskat dan Jakarta-Dubai,” jelas Kapolsek.
Ia menambahkan bahwa berdasarkan informasi para korban, petugas langsung melakukan penangkapan dan penyelidikan lebih lanjut terhadap pelaku. Selanjutnya, berdasarkan hasil penyelidikan, pelaku mengakui perbuatannya dan kegiatan seperti ini baru satu kali dijalani.
“Modusnya mengiming-imingi korban dengan penghasilan yang besar. Motifnya, semata-mata hanya ingin mengais keuntungan dari korban,” jelasnya lebih lanjut.
Ia juga mengungkapkan bahwa dalam aksi perdagangan orang tersebut, pelaku R dibantu satu orang berinisial M yang kini masih dalam proses pengejaran petugas kepolisian.
“Tersangka M yang membantu R masih dalam pengejaran. Keduanya diduga melakukan TPPO, korbannya sebanyak 64 orang,” ungkapnya.
Para pelaku akan disangkakan Pasal 81 Juncto Pasal 69 dan atau Pasal 63 Juncto, Pasal 68 Undang-Undang Nomor 18/2017 tentang Pekerja Migran Indonesia. Ditambah lagi Pasal 4 UU Nomor 21/2007 tentang Pemberantasan Tindak Pidana Perdagangan Orang dengan ancaman pidana penjara 10 tahun dan denda Rp15 miliar.(Redaksiswanara)
