Wakapolrestabes Semarang AKBP. Wiwit Ari Wibisono, S.H., mengatakan bayi berusia 14 hari yang dijual ibunya berinisial HI (29) asal Bekasi, Jawa Barat, ditawarkan melalui media sosial Facebook.
Tawaran tersebut direspons oleh AP (39), warga Mranggen, Kabupaten Demak, Jawa Tengah, yang selanjutnya mereka berkomunikasi untuk bertemu.
Dalam unggahan di media sosial, ibu bayi menawarkan anaknya untuk diadopsi. “Keduanya bertemu di salah satu hotel di wilayah Kecamatan Tugu untuk mengambil bayi,” ujarnya.
Dalam pertemuan yang berlangsung pada 11 Juli 2023 tersebut, AP memberikan uang sebesar Rp30 juta untuk membeli anak keempat HI tersebut.
Wakapolrestabes mengatakan beberapa hari setelah transaksi jual beli itu, HI datang ke kantor polisi untuk meminta bantuan menemukan perempuan yang membeli anaknya itu.
HI mengaku menyesal telah menjual bayinya karena dia membutuhkan uang untuk melunasi utangnya. Pelaku juga takut setelah suaminya selalu menanyakan keberadaan anaknya tersebut.
