Jayapura – Kepolisian Daerah (Polda) Papua akan melakukan penegakan hukum akibat semakin maraknya tindakan anarkis yang dilakukan kelompok kriminal bersenjata (KKB).
“Memang benar penegakan hukum akan diberlakukan terhadap kelompok yang selama ini mengganggu keamanan hingga meresahkan masyarakat,” jelas Kapolda Irjen. Pol. Mathius D. Fakhiri, S.I.K, M.H., di Jayapura, Jumat (28/4/23).
Irjen. Pol. Mathius Fakhiri, mengatakan sebelum melakukan penegakan hukum pihaknya bersama pemda setempat akan meminta masyarakat yang bermukim di wilayah KKB untuk sementara waktu ke ibu kota kabupaten.
Namun, bila nantinya ada warga yang enggan untuk mengungsi sementara maka bisa dipastikan mereka adalah anggota atau bagian dari KKB sehingga saat penegakan hukum dilakukan para pihak tidak bisa mengklaim bila itu pelanggaran. Apalagi anggota KKB juga telah banyak melakukan pelanggaran HAM dengan membunuh dan menganiaya warga sipil.
“Para pihak tidak bisa lagi mengklaim kalau terjadi pelanggaran HAM karena yang menjadi korban adalah anggota atau pendukung KKB, ” jelasnya, seperti dilansir Antaranews, Jumat (28/4/23).
Lebih jauh, Kapolda mengatakan berbagai gangguan keamanan di beberapa daerah yang menjadi wilayah tugas Polda Papua akibat ulah KKB telah menimbulkan korban jiwa yang bukan hanya aparat keamanan saja tetapi juga warga sipil.
“Penegakan hukum harus dilakukan agar jangan sampai korban makin banyak, dan aparat keamanan akan bertindak sesuai SOP, ” katanya.(Redaksiswanara)
