NTT – Memeriahkan Hari Bhayangkara ke-77 tahun 2023, Polda NTT menggelar Lomba Patroli Keamanan Sekolah (PKS) bertempat di Sekolah Polisi Negara (SPN) Polda NTT Selasa pagi, (27/6/2023).
Perlombaan ini merupakan sebuah kegiatan yang sangat berarti dan memberikan kesempatan bagi siswa-siswa sekolah untuk mengembangkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan mereka dalam bidang keamanan dan disiplin.
Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 11 sekolah di daerah tersebut, yaitu SMK Negeri 7 Kupang, SMA Negeri 3 Kupang, SMA Negeri 5 Kupang, SMA Giovanni, SMA Negeri 6 Kupang, SMA Negeri 1 Kupang, SMP Giovanni, SMP Katholik Santo Yoseph, SMP Negeri 3 Kota Kupang, MTS Negeri Kota Kupang, dan SMP Negeri 5 Kupang.
Dalam lomba ini, terdapat dua unsur yang dinilai, yaitu 12 gerakan lalu lintas dan penilaian pasukan. Pada unsur 12 gerakan lalu lintas, beberapa aspek yang dinilai antara lain meliputi kemampuan untuk menghentikan semua jurusan, menghentikan satu arah tertentu, menghentikan di depan, menghentikan di belakang, menghentikan di depan dan belakang, berjalan di jalur kanan, berjalan di jalur kiri, berjalan di jalur kanan dan kiri, mempercepat ke kanan, mempercepat ke kiri, melambatkan ke kanan, dan melambatkan ke kiri.
Sedangkan pada unsur penilaian pasukan, aspek yang dinilai mencakup kekompakan gerakan, kerapihan, teknik gerakan, penjiwaan, dan kedisiplinan.
Kapolda Irjen Pol Drs. Johni Asadoma, M.Hum mengungkapkan kegembiraannya karena banyak sekolah yang berpartisipasi dalam Lomba Patroli Keamanan Sekolah ini. Beliau menyatakan bahwa kegiatan PKS ini memberikan manfaat yang besar dan dapat menjadi modal bagi para siswa dalam menghadapi karier mereka setelah lulus sekolah, seperti menjadi anggota polisi, tentara, dan profesi lainnya.
Dikatakannya, dalam kegiatan lomba PKS ini, siswa dilatih untuk memiliki kedisiplinan, mematuhi peraturan dan hukum, serta mengatur teman-teman mereka yang lain. Kapolda Johni Asadoma menekankan bahwa tugas ini bukanlah pekerjaan yang mudah, karena siswa harus dapat mengatur dan memberikan contoh yang baik kepada orang lain.
Menurutnya, kegiatan ini juga memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk memperoleh pengetahuan yang berharga yang dapat mereka bagikan kepada teman-teman mereka. Kapolda NTT mendorong siswa-siswa untuk memanfaatkan kesempatan ini dengan baik, mengingat bahwa masa depan akan penuh dengan tantangan yang rumit, dan mereka perlu bersaing dengan negara-negara lain untuk kemajuan bangsa Indonesia menuju menjadi negara yang besar, hebat, kuat, adil, dan aman.(Redaksi Swanara)
