NTT – Perayaan Ibadah Jumat Agung di gereja mendapat pengamanan ekstra ketat dari personel Polda NTT yang terlibat dalam operasi Semana Santa Turangga 2023, Jumat (7/4/23).
Hari ini seluruh umat Nasrani merayakan hari Jumat Agung dimana merupakan hari peringatan wafatnya Yesus Kristus di kayu salib sebagai bentuk penebusan atas dosa manusia.
Demi memberikan rasa aman dan nyaman serta khusuk dalam beribadah Polri Polda NTT berupa memberikan pelayanan terbaik kepada masyarakat dengan menempatkan anggotanya di semua gereja yang ada di wilayah NTT.
Kegiatan ibadah dimulai tepat pukul 06.00 Wita, dua jam sebelumnya yakni pukul 04.00 Wita tim Jibom Gegana Satbrimobda NTT sudah melakukan penyisiran di setiap sudut gereja untuk dilakukan sterilisasi terhadap semua benda yang akan digunakan dalam peribadatan.
“Sebagai antisipasi kami juga akan melakukan sterilisasi gereja sebagai pemenuhan standar operasional prosedur yang harus dilaksanakan oleh Kepolisian untuk memberikan rasa aman, nyaman dan kondusif kepada warga yang sedang menunaikan ibadah,” ujar Kasetopsda (Kepala Sekretariat Operasi Daerah) Semana Santa Turangga AKBP Samuel S. Simbolon, S.H, M.H.
Untuk menjamin keamanan umat atau jemaat Kristiani yang merayakan Paskah, mulai Kamis Putih, Jumat Agung hingga hari raya Paskah, Polda NTT memperketat pengamanan wilayah dan gereja-gereja menjelang Pekan Suci Paskah tahun ini guna memberikan rasa aman dan nyaman di tengah masyarakat.
Petugas juga akan menyisir seluruh sudut ruangan gereja dan lingkungan sekitar untuk memastikan tidak ada benda yang membahayakan.
“Kami bersama TNI, Satpol PP, dan Dishub serta instansi terkait lainnya berupaya untuk menjaga keamanan warga NTT dan akan memberikan pengawalan dan pengamanan penuh di setiap kegiatan ibadah di Gereja pada masa Paskah ini,” tandasnya.
Untuk diketahui, pengamanan perayaan Paskah ini jajaran Kepolisian NTT menggelar operasi khusus dengan sandi Operasi Semana Santa Turangga 2023 yang digelar mula tanggal 4 April hingga 18 April 2023.
Operasi Semana Santa merupakan operasi mandiri kewilayahan satu-satunya yang digelar di Polri khusus wilayah NTT yang melibatkan 1.179 personel Polri, untuk Polda NTT 165 orang personel dan Polres jajaran berjumlah 1.014 orang personel.
