Jakarta – Untuk mengurai padatnya kendaraan, Direktorat Lalu Lintas (Ditlantas) Polda Metro Jaya bakal memanfaatkan jalur arteri untuk menampung kendaraan pemudik dari jalan tol saat arus balik Lebaran.
Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes. Pol. Latif Usman, S.I.K., M.Hum., mengatakan lantaran jumlah pemudik sepeda motor tahun ini tidak terlalu tinggi sehingga jalur arteri bisa dimanfaatkan untuk menampung kendaraan roda empat.
“Arteri kita manfaatkan juga apabila ada buangan dari dalam tol. Sehingga masyarakat yang ada di Bekasi, Jaktim, Jaksel sampai masuk ke Jakarta tetap bisa menikmati jalur-jalurnya,” jelasnya.
Kombes. Pol. Latif Usman juga menyampaikan bahwa pihaknya menempatkan personel di ruas jalur arteri untuk membantu pengaturan arus lalu lintas kendaraan pemudik sehingga kepadatan kendaraan bisa dihindari.
Lebih lanjut, ia mengungkapkan meski disiapkan untuk menampung arus balik pemudik pihaknya belum berencana untuk menerapkan rekayasa lalu lintas di jalur arteri. Pihaknya terus melakukan sosialisasi terkait kebijakan dan skema rekayasa lalu lintas selama arus balik. Ia berharap, dengan upaya ini, para pemudik bisa mengatur waktu perjalanannya sehingga tak terjadi kemacetan.
Sebelumnya, arus lalu lintas dari Purwakarta menuju pintu Gerbang Tol (GT) Cikampek-Jakarta terpantau padat. Dari pantauan CNNIndonesia.com pada Selasa (25/4) pukul 09.45 WIB, pintu GT Cikampek Utama ditutup sementara imbas kepadatan kendaraan di GT Cikampek Utama 1 dan 2.
Karenanya, pengguna jasa yang hendak melakukan perjalanan ke arah Jakarta harus melewati jalan memutar ke Jalan Kota Bukit Indah Raya. Pengendara diarahkan masuk melalui Tol Kalihurip.
