Jakarta – Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Endra Zulpan memastikan benda yang meledak dan melukai warga di Cilincing, Jakarta Utara bukan granat. Menurutnya, benda itu adalah flashbang.
“Jadi benda yang meledak itu bukan granat, ya, tetapi flashbang. Lokasi penemuan flashbang ini merupakan alur lokasi pelatihan Brimob di KBN Cakung,” ungkap Endra Zulpan dalam keterangannya, Rabu (28/9/2022).
Lebih lanjut Zulpan mengatakan, flashbang adalah salah satu properti untuk latihan. Dia menyebut benda tersebut tidak berbahaya, namun perlu keahlian khusus dalam pengoperasiannya.
“Benda tersebut adalah properti latihan, tidak berbahaya. Tetapi memang membutuhkan ahli dalam pengoperasiannya yang fungsinya mengeluarkan suara ledakan, cahaya, dan asap putih. Hanya menimbulkan efek kejut,” terangnya.
Pada kesempatan yang sama, Zulpan juga menyampaikan seorang warga yang menemukan flashbang tersebut hanya mengalami luka ringan di bagian kaki dan tangannya.
“Saudara Rahmat (selaku penemu) hanya mengalami luka ringan di kaki kanan dan tangan kiri,” tukasnya.(Redaksi Swanara)
