Jambi – Kepolisian Daerah Jambi hingga saat ini telah berhasil mengungkap kasus tindak pidana perdagangan orang (TPPO) sebanyak 29 kasus.
Dari 29 kasus itu, ada sebanyak 38 orang tersangka dan 43 korban tindak pidana perdagangan orang.
Dari kasus yang diungkap, jumlah kasus ditangani Ditreskrimum Polda Jambi sebanyak 4 kasus, Polresta Jambi 7 kasus.
Polres Muaro Jambi 2 kasus, Polres Tanjung Jabung Barat 2 Kasus, Polres Tanjung Jabung Timur 2 kasus, dan Polres Batanghari 1 kasus.
Polres Tebo 2 kasus, Polres Bungo 2 kasus, Polres Sarolangun 2 kasus, Polres Merangin 3 kasus, Polres Kerinci 2 kasus.
Untuk memperkuat langkah pencegahan tindak pidana perdagangan orang, Polda Jambi melakukan penandatanganan nota kesepakatan bersama pihak instansi terkait di Jambi.
“Hal ini dilakukan sebagai bentuk komitmen Polda Jambi dan instansi terkait untuk bersama-sama tidak membiarkan adanya kasus perdagangan orang di Jambi,” ujarnya.
Banyak modus untuk melakukan perdagangan orang. Sehingga membutuhkan partisipasi berbagai pihak untuk pencegahan perdagangan orang.
Dengan adanya penandatanganan nota kesepakatan ini, disebutkan dia, dapat berjalan dengan baik. Sehingga, apabila ditemukan hal- hal yang diduga tindak pidana perdagangan orang langsung dikoordinasikan dan dilakukan penindakan hukum.
“Tindak pidana perdagangan orang bisa dilakukan secara sendiri dan sindikat. Maka dari itu, perlu adanya Satgas ini,” ungkapnya.
Di tanda dengan penandatanganan nota, ini menjadi kesempatan penegak hukum dan penanganan kasus tindak pidana perdagangan orang, sehingga bisa semakin kuat serta lebih efektif.
“Selain penegakkan hukum, upaya preventif terus dilakukan untuk mencegah kasus tindak pidana perdagangan orang tidak terus berulang,” ungkapnya.(Redaksiswanara)
