Jakarta – Pekan ini dua kali TNI Angkatan Laut berhasil gagalkan penyelundupan satwa dilindungi melalui jalur udara untuk diterbangkan ke sejumlah kawasan Asia, dari Bandara Juanda Surabaya. Tidak tangung-tanggung kerugian negara akibat penyelundupan tersebut mencapai hingga miliaran rupiah, (16/4/2023).
Awal pekan ini, Pangkalan Udara TNI AL (Lanudal) Juanda berhasil menggagalkan upaya penyelundupan pengiriman hewan endemik langka yang dilindungi jenis kura-kura bercangkang lunak spesies labi-labi moncong babi di Bandara Juanda.
Salah satu orang terduga pelaku berhasil diamankan dengan barang bukti delapan buah koper berisi labi-labi moncong babi, dan satu paspor atas nama David Setiawan. Adapun delapan koper berisi total 5.632 ekor, kisaran harga Rp. 150.000 per ekor, sehingga ditaksir negara mengalami kerugian sebesar Rp.844.800.000.
Tidak berselang lama, TNI Angkatan Laut kembali menggagalkan penyelundupan Benih Bening Lobster (BBL) di Bandara Juanda Surabaya dengan tujuan Kuala Lumpur dan Singapura. Setelah melakukan pemeriksaan secara fisik isi dari lima koper mencurigakan tersebut, ditemukan puluhan kantong plastik berisi Benih Bening Lobster (BBL) yang secara total berjumlah 212.566 ekor, ditaksir kerugian negara hingga mencapai Rp. 8.8 Miliar.
Pemilik koper adalah penumpang atas nama Arik Irawan Warga Negara Indonesia, yang saat ini telah diamankan berikut barang bukti lima buah koper, satu buah paspor, uang sebesar Rp. 1.650.000,- satu unit HP dan tiket rute Juanda-Kuala Lumpur.
Tingginya operasional penerbangan internasional di Bandara Juanda, terutama pada masa liburan saat ini, dijadikan celah bagi pihak-pihak tertentu untuk melakukan upaya-upaya tindakan illegal, khususnya melalui transportasi udara.
Pada kesempatan terpisah Kepala Staf Angkatan Laut (Kasal) Laksamana TNI Muhammad Ali menginstruksikan pada jajaran TNI AL untuk terus memperkokoh soliditas dan jalin sinergitas dengan Instansi pemerintah, maupun komponen bangsa lainnya guna mendukung keberhasilan tugas-tugas TNI AL dan tugas pokok TNI dalam menjaga keamanan wilayah Indonesia.
