TAPTENG – Polres Tapanuli Tengah, telah mengamankan pasangan suami-istri kasus penyebaran uang Palsu di Pasar Onan Barus, Kelurahan Pasar Batu Gerigis, Kecamatan Barus, Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah, pada Rabu (8/3/2023) kemarin.
Hal itu dibenarkan Kapolres Tapteng, AKBP Jimmy Cristian Samma melalui Kasubbag Humas Polres Tapteng, Akp H Gurning, Senin (13/3/2023) siang.
Akp Gurning menjelaskan, pasangan suami-isteri ini yakni, RT sebagai suami (47), DK sebagai Istri (46), warga Kelurahan Bungo Barat, Kecamatan Pasar Muara Bungo, Kabupaten Bungo, Provinsi Jambi.
Modus operandi pasutri, tersangka membawa, menyimpan uang palsu uang pecahan 100 ribu. Kemudian berangkat dari Provinsi jambi dengan menggunakan Mobil Pribadi milik tersangka menuju pasar Onan Barus.
“Tersangka melakukan aksinya dengan belanja, membeli barang-barang di Pasar, seperti membeli Beras 1 sampai dengan 2 Kilogram dengan maksimal harga Rp. 20 ribu rupiah, dengan menggunakan Uang Palsu pecahan Rp.100.000,”
“Setelah barang dibelikan, pelaku akan mendapat kembalian uang asli dari pedagang dan kembalian uang tersebut akan dikumpul untuk mendapat keuntungan,” ucap Gurning.
Sementara daerah yang sudah dijalankan pelaku mengedarkan uang palsu, di Provinsi Jambi sejak Bulan September 2022. Di Provinsi Sumatera Barat sejak tanggal 28 Februari 2023 sampai dengan tanggal 6 Maret 2023., Selanjutnya Di Wilayah Kabupaten Tapteng tepatnya di Onan Barus Kecamatan Barus Kab. Tapanuli Tengah pelaku melakukan aksinya di Pasar Onan Barus, karena dicurigai oleh masyarkat langsung diamankan dan diserahkan ke Polsek Barus Pada Hari Rabu Tanggal 8 Maret 2023.
Pelaku *RT* menerangkan bahwa uang Palsu tersebut diperoleh dari laki laki inisial *W* yang mengaku tinggal di Jakarta namun dikenal pelaku hanya lewat Group Pinjol Facebook, dan setelah saling WA sepakat untuk mengedarkan uang palsu kemudian *RT* menemui *W* di terminal Pulo gadung Jakarta dan *RT* memberikan uang senilai Rp. 5 (lima juta rupiah) kepada *W, dan *W* memberikan uang Palsu sebanyak Rp. 15 (lima belas juta rupiah) ini kali pertama pada bulan September 2022, kemudian pada Bulan Januari 2023 *RT* kembali menemui *W* dan menyerahkan uang asli senilai Rp.60.000.000,-(enam puluh juta rupiah) dan *RT* menerima uang palsu senilai Rp.180.000.000,-(seratus delapan puluh juta rupiah), dan selanjutnya pelaku mengedarkan uang palsu tersebut di wilayah Propinsi Jambi, Sumatera Barat dan Sumatera Utara tepatnya di Wilkum Polres Tapteng di Pasar Onan Barus dan akhirnya tertangkap.
Untuk penanganan kasus ini Polsek Barus telah melimpahkan ke Sat Reskrim Polres Tapanuli Tengah dan Sudan dalam proses penyidikan dan terhadap kedua tersangka telah dilakukan penahanan, kata Kasi Humas.
Terhadap pelaku dipersangkakan sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 36 ayat (2), ayat (3) dan ayat (4) Jo Pasal 26 ayat (2), ayat (3) dan ayat (4), UU RI Nomor 7 Tahun 2011 tentang mata uang. Ancaman hukuman paling lama 15 Tahun Penjara dan denda Rp 50 miliar rupiah.
