Jakarta – Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) membentuk tim khusus untuk mengusut insiden penembakan di kantor pusatnya. Adapun peristiwa itu terjadi pada 2 Mei 2023 sekitar pukul 11.00 WIB.
Tim khusus itu beranggotakan sembilan orang yang merupakan pengurus aktif di MUI, mulai dari wakil ketua umum (waketum), ketua-ketua bidang, hingga anggota pengurus lainnya.
Ketua MUI Bidang Dakwah dan Ukhuwah, Cholil Nafis, menjelaskan pembentukan tim khusus itu untuk menyelesaikan dua hal, yaitu penyelesaian mekanisme tempuh hukum dan sisi sosial guna terus menjaga spirit dakwah bagi umat.
“Iya, tetap kami di jalan kebenaran, semangat berdakwah, dan juga senantiasa memberikan ruang terbaik untuk bangsa dan negara,” ujar Cholil, dalam siaran pers, Jumat (5/5/2023).
MUI mengambil sikap tersebut dalam pertemuan bersama sejumlah tokoh ormas di Kantor MUI Pusat, Jakarta, Kamis (4/5). Cholil menambahkan sejumlah tokoh ormas yang hadir dalam pertemuan tersebut khawatir dengan aksi teror yang terjadi di Kantor MUI Pusat.
Dari kejadian itu, mereka meminta eskalasi pengamanan dan penjagaan dapat ditingkatkan ke depan. Cholil juga menyebutkan bahwa para tokoh yang hadir memberikan sejumlah saran, di antaranya agar MUI perlu melibatkan sistem pengamanan digital, seperti menggunakan detektor siber atau cyber security.
“Iya, tetap MUI menjadi rumah bersama, mercusuar bagi ormas. Keamanan yang ketat tidak menghilangkan rasa nyaman dan akses yang mudah sebagai rumah bersama,” katanya.(Redaksi Swanara)
