Jakarta– Masyarakat dipersilakan untuk memberikan sanksi sosial para pengguna plat nomor polisi (nopol) RF yang apabila terlihat dengan sengaja melakukan pelanggaran lalu lintas.
“Silakan masyarakat untuk bisa memberikan sanksi sosial kalau mereka istilahnya menggunakan (melakukan) pelanggaran itu,” ujar Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Latif Usman, Kamis (15/12/2022).
Namun, sanksi sosial yang diberikan terhadap pelanggar tidak diperbolehkan melanggar ketentuan hukum yang berlaku.
Kapolda Metro Jaya Irjen Pol Fadil Imran sebelumnya meminta kepada anggotanya untuk tidak takut dalam melakukan penindakan terhadap pemilik dan pengguna plat RF yang melanggar lalu tintas, serta penindakan melalui tilang elektronik (ETLE).
Latif mengatakan, penggunaan plat RF itu bukan dimaksudkan untuk melakukan pelanggaran. Para pengendara dan pemilik kendaraan berplat RF memiliki hak dan kewajiban yang sama di jalanan.
Oleh karenanya, mereka juga harus tetap mematuhi peraturan yang berlaku dan diberlakukan penindakan apabila melanggar ketentuan.
“RF itu hanya digunakan pelatnya saja, tapi bukan untuk melakukan pelanggaran. Hak dan kewajibannya sama. Dia hanya nopol khusus dan nopol rahasia,” jelasnya.(Redaksi Swanara)
