MAGELANG – Polsek Muntilan Polresta Magelang melakukan kegiatan sterilisasi Gereja Santo Antonius Pastoran Muntilan, Sabtu 24/12/2022 sore. Sterilisasi itu dilakukan menjelang umat Nasrani melakukan ibadah misa natal yang akan dilaksanakan pada pukul 17.00 wib di hari yang sama.
Kegiatan Misa Natal tersebut rencananya akan dilakukan dalam dua gelombang yaitu pada pukul 17.00 dan pukul 20.00 dengan jumlah total mencapai seribu jemaat gereja.
” Sterilisasi ini merupakan langkah antisipasi untuk mengamankan kegiatan ibadah tersebut,” kata Kapolsek Muntilan, AKP Abdul Muthohir saat ditemui sesaat setelah melakukan kegiatan sterilisasi.
Terkait dengan jumlah personil kepolisian yang diterjunkan untuk pengamanan, Muthohir menjelaskan jika pihaknya dibackup oleh SatBrimob Polda Jateng, Tim Anjing Pelacak dari Sat Samapta Polresta Magelang, Tim QRT Polresta Magelang.
Sementara sasaran kegiatan sterilisasi tersebut adalah tempat-tempat bangunan Gereja Utama yang dipakai untuk pelaksanaan ibadah terutama di area sekitar mimbar.
” Tadi juga dilakukan penyisiran di pohon-pohon natal bahkan sampai di sekitar Kediaman Romo Agung Wijayanto untuk memastikan semuanya dalam kondisi aman,” tambahnya.
Ketika pelaksanaan ibadah Misa Natal, menurut Muthohir tidak akan ada penutupan arus lalulintas di sekitar Gereja Santo Antonius Pasturan Muntilan, melainkan petugas akan melakukan pengaturan arus lalulintas di daerah tersebut.
” Tidak ada penutupan jalan. Semuanya seperti biasa, namun memang terdapat petugas yang mengatur arus lalulintas disana. Dan kita juga dibantu oleh petugas Tim Pospam Operasi Lilin Candi 2022 wilayah Muntilan,” jelasnya.
Kapolsek menegaskan jika kondisi di wilayah Kecamatan Muntilan terutama sekitar tempat ibadah Natal dalam kondisi aman terkendali. Hal tersebut dipastikan, untuk memberikan rasa aman dan nyaman kepada Umat Nasrani yang akan melaksanakan Ibadah Natal.
