Jakarta, – Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo menyampaikan dukacita atas wafatnya eks Ketua Umum Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) KH Ali Yafie. Sigit menyebut Ali Yafie adalah sosok guru dan tokoh bangsa yang selalu memberikan karya terbaik.
“Innalillahi wainna ilaihi rojiuun. Keluarga besar Polri menyampaikan rasa belasungkawa yang mendalam atas berpulangnya Prof. AG. H. Muhammad Ali Yafie,” kata Kapolri dalam unggahan di akun Instagram resminya, seperti dikutip Senin (27/2/2023)
Kapolri berdoa agar mendiang Ali Yafie ditempatkan di sisi Allah. Kepada keluarga, Sigit berharap agar senantiasa diberikan ketabahan.
“Almarhum adalah sosok guru dan tokoh bangsa yang semasa hidupnya selalu memberikan karya terbaik demi kemajuan bangsa dengan senantiasa berpegang teguh pada ajaran agama,” jelasnya.
“Teriring doa semoga Almarhum husnul khotimah, diampuni segala dosa dan salah, serta senantiasa mendapat tempat terbaik di sisi Allah SWT. Kepada keluarga yang ditinggalkan, kami turut mendoakan semoga senantiasa diberikan ketabahan dan kekuatan serta keikhlasan. Aamiin Ya Robbal alamin,” lanjutnya.
Ali Yafie yang pernah menjadi Rais Aam PBNU 1991-1992 meninggal usai dirawat di Rumah Sakit Bintaro, Tangerang Selatan (Tangsel).
Dilansir dari situs resmi MUI, KH Ali Yafie wafat pada Sabtu (25/2/2023) pukul 22.13 WIB. Jenazah akan dibawa ke rumah duka di Kompleks Menteng Residence, Jl Menteng V Blok FC 5 No 12, Sektor 7 Bintaro Jaya.
Diketahui sebelumnya, Kiai Ali Yafie dirawat di RS Bintaro, dan sempat dijenguk oleh Wakil Presiden KH Ma’ruf Amin. Wapres bercerita bahwa Kiai Ali Yafie adalah sosok ulama panutan. “Beliau adalah senior saya yang baik,” kata Wapres seperti dilansir dari situs MUI.(Redaksiswanara)
