Dalam beberapa pekan terakhir, wilayah tersebut kerap terjadi hujan deras sehingga meluapnya sungai – sungai kecil dan menjadi pemicu terjadinya tanah longsor yang mengakibatkan 9 (Sembilan) orang warga terbawa air dan tertimbun longsor.
Kapolres SBB yang meninjau lokasi kejadian segera mengupayakan proses evakuasi dengan menghubungi instansi terkait Pemerintah Daerah.
“Langkah sigap yang kami lakukan guna mempercepat proses evakuasi, membersihkan material lumpur, tanah, pohon bahkan bebatuan yang menghalangi jalan, serta mencari korban” terang Kapolres.
Upaya tanggap bencana Polres SBB ini mendapatkan apresiasi dan ucapan terima kasih dari instansi terkait, unsur pemerintah desa, masyarakat hingga para pengguna jalan.
“Kami akan membantu proses evakuasi korban di bantu oleh satuan Brimob Kompi II Den B Piru, dan diimbau kepada seluruh masyarakat agar meningkatkan kewaspadaan akan potensi bencana alam tanah longsor maupun banjir,” imbau Kapolres SBB.
Dalam Proses evakuasi yang berjalan dramatis itu korban yang berhasil selamat ada 3 orang dan korban meninggal dunia 5 orang dan 1 orang belum di temukan.
“Proses evakuasi masih terus kami lakukan mengantisipasi adanya korban lain dan untuk warga yang berada di sekitar titik longsor di daerah kabupaten Seram bagian barat agar selalu waspada mengingat curah hujan yang cukup tinggi” imbuh AKBP Dennie.(RedaksiSwanara)
