Kupang – Hari Maritim Nasional (HMN) yang ke-59 menjadi momentum penting bagi warga Indonesia, dan acara puncak peringatan ini dihadiri oleh Kapolda Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), Irjen Pol Drs. Johni Asadoma, M.Hum. Puncak peringatan HMN ini berlangsung di Markas Komando Pangkalan Utama TNI Angkatan Laut (Mako Lantamal) VII Kupang, pada Kamis (12/10/2023).
Acara dimulai dengan penampilan marching band dari Politeknik Kelautan dan Perikanan Kupang, serta pentas seni tradisional Tarian Hantama oleh UPTD Taman Budaya, sebagai bentuk penyambutan para tamu undangan, di antaranya Menteri Perhubungan RI, Panglima TNI, Gubernur NTT, Pejabat pusat lainnya, serta Forkopimda NTT. Acara ini juga dihadiri oleh berbagai elemen masyarakat, termasuk tokoh masyarakat, tokoh agama, tokoh pemuda, tokoh perempuan, nelayan, mahasiswa, pelajar, dan keluarga dari Laksamana Malahayati.
Dalam rangkaian acara, dilakukan peluncuran buku Produk Domestik Bruto Maritim. Menteri Perhubungan memberikan penghargaan kepada 4 Kementerian/Lembaga (K/L), BUMN, dan PROSPERA atas kontribusinya dalam pembangunan ekonomi maritim. Selain itu, PT Pelindo juga mendapatkan apresiasi sebagai salah satu elemen yang turut serta dalam mendorong pembangunan konektivitas maritim dan distribusi ekonomi.
Selanjutnya, terdapat pemberian penghargaan kepada pahlawan maritim, Laksamana Malahayati, yang telah ditetapkan oleh Presiden sebagai pahlawan maritim nasional. Acara dilanjutkan dengan parade 40 kapal tradisional nelayan, perlombaan kapal hias, dan kunjungan pelajar ke Kapal Perang TNI Angkatan Laut.
Kapolda NTT, Irjen Pol Drs. Johni Asadoma, M.Hum, menggarisbawahi bahwa peringatan Hari Maritim Nasional ke-59 ini mengusung tema “Pembangunan Negara Kepulauan Berwawasan Nusantara Menuju Indonesia Emas 2045” dengan slogan “Layar Terkembang Menuju Indonesia Maju.”
Peringatan HMN ini bertujuan untuk mendorong pemanfaatan sumber daya maritim secara optimal dan berkelanjutan. Pengelolaan potensi kemaritiman untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat harus selalu disertai dengan komitmen untuk menjaga kelestarian lingkungan.
Kapolda NTT berharap bahwa perayaan HMN ke-59 ini akan semakin memperkuat komitmen bersama untuk menjadikan Indonesia, sebagai negara kepulauan terbesar di dunia, sebagai poros maritim dunia.(Redaksiswanara)
