“Untuk kasus pencurian barang di dalam mobil saya sudah perintahkan Dirreskrimum dan Kapolresta Ambon untuk kejar dan tangkap para pelaku yang sangat meresahkan warga saat ini,” jelasnya.
Kapolda mengaku selama ini Polri terus melakukan patroli baik terbuka maupun tertutup di beberapa titik rawan kejahatan di Ambon. Namun menurutnya, keterbatasan lahan garasi hingga para pemilik mobil memarkirkan mobilnya dengan menitipkan di jalan atau di toko-toko yang memiliki lahan parkir, saat ini menjadi masalah baru. Pasalnya, para pencuri kini menjadikan keterbatasan lahan parkir itu sebagai sasaran kejahatan.
