Bantul -:Kapolda DIY, Irjen Pol Suwondo Nainggolan bersama warga Kalurahan Timbulharjo, Sewon, Bantul, menggelar Rembug Omah Jaga Warga, Rabu (6/9/2023).
Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan di balai kalurahan setempat ini, menghadirkan ratusan warga masyarakat Timbulharjo, serta jajaran pejabat utama Polda DIY dan Polres Bantul.
Rembug Omah Jaga Warga ini adalah upaya untuk lebih mendekatkan Polri dengan masyarakat, mendengarkan keluhan, saran dan masukan dari warga terhadap berbagai persoalan yang terjadi di masyarakat.
Terkait Polisi RW, Kapolda DIY berharap, program yang digagas oleh Kabaharkam Polri Komjen Pol Muhammad Fadil Imran ini, dapat memberikan manfaat bagi warga.
“Semoga kolaborasi Polisi RW dan Jaga Warga yang telah terbentuk di Provinsi DIY ini, kususnya di wilayah Kalurahan Timbulharjo ini, dapat berjalan secara efektif dan bermanfaat membantu dan menjaga keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat,” kata Kapolda.
Dengan adanya Jaga Warga dan Polisi RW, lanjut Kapolda, personel yang bertugas memelihara Kamtibmas bisa terbantu dan lebih mudah untuk menyelesaikan masalah di tengah-tengah masyarakat.
“Pada kesempatan ini, saya mengucapkan bayak terima kasih kepada jajarannya, serta Pemerintah Kalurahan Timbulharjo, yang mana telah memfasilitasi kami dalam rangka menjalankan program pimpinan untuk mengadakan kunjungan dalam mengecek kesiapan Polisi RW atau Pos Jaga Warga di Timbulharjo. Yang mana program ini akan dihadiri langsung oleh Kabarharkam Polri,” terang dia.
Dikatakan, Polisi RW merupakan personel Polri yang ditunjuk menjalankan tugas di lingkup RW, di samping menjalankan tugas fungsi kepolisian yang diembannya.
Menurutnya jaga warga dinilai sangatlah efektif di dalam mencegah munculnya permasalahan di tengah masyarakat, salah satunya mengantisipasi maraknya pencurian sepeda motor di bulak persawahan maupun permukiman warga.
“Saya selaku Kapolda DIY menambahkan Bhabinkamtibmas, Polisi RW, serta Jaga Warga dapat membuat inovasi bersama dalam menjaga keamanan masyarakat sebab ketiganya tidak sulit memetakan lokasi yang rawan, sekaligus menjadi penghubung antara masyarakat dengan Polri,” ungkapnya.
Dibentuknya program ini, kata dia, setidaknya dapat menyelesaikan suatu permasalahan, namun ada batasnya, jangan sampai menimbulkan masalah baru dan jangan dilakukan bila akan timbul permasalahan sosial yang lebih besar.
“Setiap permasalahan yang belum memasuki ranah hukum, dapat diselesaikan dengan problem solving, sementara permasalahan yang sudah memasuki ranah hukum, dapat diselesaikan melalui upaya restorative justice,” ucapnya.
Kapolda diakhir arahannya berharap, semoga dengan adanya Polisi RW dan Jaga Warga ini bisa mempunyai andil dan berperan serta membantu kegiatan masyarakat dalam segala hal utamanya dalam menjaga keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat.
