Jakarta – Kapolri Jenderal Polisi Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo memimpin upacara gelar pasukan Operasi Mantab Brata 2023/2024. Sebanyak 261.695 personel dikerahkan untuk mengamankan Pemilu 2024 melalui operasi tersebut.
Jenderal Sigit menyatakan, operasi ini digelar untuk menyukseskan Pemilu 2024 agar berjalan aman dan damai. Pengecekan kesiapan personel pun perlu dilakukan, sehingga dilakukan apel serentak ini.
“Operasi ini dilaksanakan selama 222 hari sejak 19 Oktober 2023 sampai dengan 20 Oktober 2024 yang diikuti oleh 261.695 personel di seluruh Indonesia guna mengamankan seluruh tahapan pemilu,” ujar Kapolri di Lapangan Silang Monas, Jakarta Pusat, Selasa (17/10/23).
Dalam sambutannya Kapolri berpesan, seluruh personel harus siap siaga tidak hanya di daerah yang dinyatakan Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) memiliki kerawanan tinggi. Jenderal Sigit meminta, semua daerah harus dipandang sama agar tidak menjadi kelengahan.
“Terus lakukan maping potensi konflik sosial secara detil di wilayah masing-masing dan selesaikan konflik hingga ke akar masalahnya. Apabila terhadap konflik yang mengganggu Kamtibmas, pastikan pengerahan kekuatan dilakukan secara tepat sesuai SOP,” ungkapnya.
Lebih lanjut Jenderal Sigit menyampaikan, terkait bencana alam, koordinasi harus dilakukan dengan berkoordinasi bersama BNPB, BPBD, dan Basarnas. Dengan demikian, pemetaan daerah rawan bisa dapat dilakukan dengan baik.
Jenderal Sigit juga berpesan untuk selalu mengantisipasi kerawanan terorisme. Oleh karenanya, jajaran personelnya diminta melakukan preventif strike kepada pelaku teror.
“Perang antara Hamas dengan Israel bisa berdampak terhadap situasi kita,” jelasnya.
Kapolri berpesan agar tindak pidana pemilu diselesaikan secara profesional dan transparan. Koordinasi bersama penyelenggara pemilu harus terus dilakukan.
“Operasi yang kita lakukan kali ini cukup panjang dan pemilu yang memiliki kekhasan tersendiri harus benar-benar disiapkan,” ujarnya.(Redaksiswanara)
