Swanara-Ketua PWNU Provinsi Riau, T Rusli Ahmad SE MM, mengundang para awak media yang tergabung dalam Forum Media Santri Tani untuk berbuka puasa bersama di kediamannya yang berada di Komplek Agrowisata RA Kopi Aren, di jalan Sri Palas No. 9 Palas, Pekanbaru pada Sabtu (30/4/2022).
Pada kesempatan tersebut, T Rusli yang juga menjabat sebagai Ketua Umum DPP Santri Tani NU, menyampaikan maksud dan tujuannya.
“Kita mengadakan kebersamaan disini untuk memberdayakan media dalam mengembangkan aspek pertanian, peternakan dan seluruh kegiatan perkebunan,” ulas T Rusli.
Ia juga menjelaskan bahwa di era digital, para petani dan media harus menjadi satu kesatuan, disebabkan perkembangan jaman.
“Di era sekarang ini, petani sudah tidak harus menjual hasil pertaniannya secara tradisional atau harus membawa hasil taninya ke pasar, lewat handphone juga sudah bisa,” ucapnya.
“Petani sudah bisa menjual hasil taninya secara online dan pembeli juga sudah bisa langsung melakukan pembelian secara online, jadi media secara langsung bisa membantu upaya para petani dalam mengembangkan pemasaran para petani,” tambah T Rusli.
Ia juga berharap agar kedepannya, media sebagai penyambung informasi, dapat bersinergi dengan upaya Santri Tani dalam mengembangkan usaha pertanian.
“Jadi saya berharap kedepannya, media sebagai penyambung informasi, bisa turut membantu program kita dalam dunia pertanian,” tutupnya.
