SLEMAN – Untuk menghilangkan rasa takut anak-anak pada Polisi serta untuk menjadikan Polisi sebagai sahabat anak, Polsek Tempel Sleman menerima kunjungan dan tatap muka dari Kelompok Bermain Putra Handayani Mororejo Tempel Sleman dalam rangka Polisi Sahabat Anak.
Kegiatan kunjungan bertujuan untuk memotivasi anak agar lebih mengenal Polisi bukan sebagai sosok yang menakutkan tetapi mengenal Polisi sebagai sahabat anak dan juga sahabat masyarakat serta bertujuan untuk menjalin kedekatan antara Polisi dengan anak-anak, juga untuk mengenalkan tugas-tugas kepolisian.
Dengan didampingi guru para siswa-siswi diperkenalkan tugas Polisi sebagai pelindung, pengayom, pelayan masyarakat dan peralatan pendukung tugas Kepolisian seperti perlengkapan patroli dan lainnya, yang disampaikan dengan bahasa sederhana dan dengan metode belajar sambil bermain.
Menurut Kapolsek Tempel AKP G.Luki Daryawan menyampaikan, “Kegiatan Polisi sahabat ini sangat efektif untuk mendidik dan membina anak usia dini untuk lebih mengenal tentang tugas dan peran Polisi serta menanamkan pada diri anak, untuk bisa menjadi Polisi bagi dirinya sendiri,” terangnya.
Dengan metode ini, wajah-wajah mereka tampak ceria sehingga tidak tampak rasa takut ketika bertemu dengan Polisi. Padahal di lapangan, biasanya Polisi selalu menjadi sosok yang menakutkan bagi anak-anak. Terlebih para orang tua terkadang menggunakan Polisi untuk menakut-nakuti anak jika rewel atau nakal.
Menurut salah seorang guru, kunjungan ini merupakan kegiatan positif. Apalagi anak-anak diperkenalkan tentang tugas-tugas Kepolisian dan sarana kelengkapan pendukungnya sehingga dapat lebih menanamkan kecintaan anak kepada Polisi, Karena ternyata Polisi ramah-ramah sehingga anak tidak takut lagi.
Kegiatan Polisi Sahabat Anak ini dalam upaya menampilkan sosok Polisi yang humanis dan dekat dengan masyarakat khususnya anak-anak.(Redaksiswanara)
