Dalam sambutannya, Sekda mengatakan bahwa masalah ketenagakerjaan di Kabupaten Dharmasraya merupakan masalah kita bersama, bukan hanya menjadi tanggungjawab Pemerintah Daerah saja untuk menyelesaikannya. Namun diperlukan peran aktif masyarakat baik dari pihak pemberi kerja atau perusahaan, para pengusaha, ataupun para pencari kerja. Serta stakeholder terkait yang berhubungan dengan ketenagakerjaan, termasuk bursa kerja khusus (BKK) yang ada di SMK.
“SMKN I Koto Baru merupakan salah satu SMK pusat keunggulan yang ditetapkan pada tahun 2022. SMKN I Koto Baru sebagai satuan pendidikan vokasi diharapkan mampu membantu lulusan untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan, Indonesia Emas 2045. Pemkab Dharmasraya mengajak seluruh pelaku usaha dan para pencari kerja untuk dapat bersama-sama membangun ekonomi berkelanjutan yang bertujuan untuk memberikan penghidupan yang layak bagi masyarakat Kabupaten Dharmasraya,” kata Sekda.
Salah satu upaya menangani masalah ketenagakerjaan di Kabupaten Dharmasraya yang saat ini dilakukan pemerintah daerah, diantaranya dengan mengadakan kegiatan Job Fair. Acara ini memfasilitasi atau mempertemukan antara pencari kerja dengan pengguna tenaga kerja atau perusahaan. Melalui kegiatan tersebut diharapkan dapat mempercepat pertemuan antara pencari kerja. Sehingga mempercepat proses rekrutmen dan penempatan tenaga kerja.
“Job Fair ini bukanlah satu-satunya platform penyebarluasan informasi pasar kerja, bapak atau ibu tetap bisa mengakses informasi pasar kerja melalui layanan bursa kerja online yang ada di Dinas Transmigrasi dan tenaga kerja pengupahan maupun jaminan social serta hak-hak kesejahteraan lainnya yang dilindungi berdasarkan Peraturan Perundang-Undangan di bidang ketenagakerjaan,” bebernya lagi.
