Jayapura.- Kelompok Kriminal Bersenjata (KKB) menitipkan surat kepada pilot Susi Air yang sedang mendarat di Distrik Jila, Kabupaten Mimika, Papua Tengah, Kamis (16/3/23).
Surat tersebut diberikan kepada pilot asing berinsial LR yang merupakan warga negara Afrika Selatan.
Kepala Operasi Damai Cartenz Kombes. Pol. Faizal Ramadhani mengungkapkan, proses penyerahan surat tersebut juga terdokumentasi dalam sebuah video yang didapatkan oleh aparat keamanan.
“Hari ini kami mendapat informasi bahwa pilot dari Susi Air yang menjalani penerbangan dari Timika ke Distrik Jila, kemudian dari salah satu KKB menitipkan surat,” ujarnya di Mimika, Jumat (17/3/23).
Dalam video tersebut, tampak seseorang yang diduga merupakan pimpinan dari kelompok tersebut memberikan surat yang dibawa menggunakan kantung plastik merah dan diberikan kepada LR.
Kasatgas Ops Damai Cartenz menyebut, dari video tersebut terlihat salah satu anggota KKB memegang sebuah senjata api laras panjang.
Ia menegaskan, dalam proses penyerahan tersebut, pilot tidak mendapat perlakuan kasar dan dilepas begitu saja setelah surat diberikan. Peristiwa itu pun masih dalam penyelidikan.
“Tidak ada penahanan, setelah surat diberikan mereka melepas pilot yang saat ini sudah kembali ke Timika,” jelasnya.
