Sekadau – Bidkum Polda Kalbar menggelar sosialisasi dan penyuluhan hukum tentang pembaruan KUHP (UU no. 1 tahun 2023) dan Perpol Nomor 10 tahun 2022 tentang pengamanan penyelenggaraan kompetisi olahraga.
Tim Sosialisasi dipimpin Kabidkum Polda Kalbar Kombes Pol Nurhadi Handayani beserta anggotanya yaitu AKBP Wisnubroto dan Pembina M. Pasaribu.
Mengawali sambutannya, Kapolres Sekadau AKBP Suyono menghendaki kegiatan ini tidak disia-siakan dan diikuti dengan baik seluruh peserta mengingat penjelasan yang akan diterima merupakan hal baru dalam proses hukum.
“Dalam sosialisasi dan penyuluhan hukum ini, kita akan mengetahui apa itu KUHP Nasional. Meski diberlakukan pada Januari 2026 nanti, selaku penegak hukum kita harus mempelajarinya mulai dari sekarang,” jelasnya.
Selanjutnya, Kabidkum Polda Kalbar memaparkan sejarah perkembangan KUHP dan upaya pembaruannya mulai tahun 1958, misi pembaruan serta perbedaan KUHP kolonial dengan KUHP Nasional.
“Terdapat 5 misi dalam pembaruan tersebut diantaranya untuk menghilangkan nuansa kolonial (dekolonialisasi), demokratisasi, konsolidasi, harmonisasi dan modernisasi,” jelasnya.
Lebih lanjut disampaikan, KUHP Nasional yang terdiri atas 624 pasal ini menjadi acuan bagi undang-undang lainnya serta memberikan kemudahan dalam proses penegakan hukum.
Sedangkan Perpol nomor 10 tahun 2022 menjelaskan tentang pengertian, prinsip, bentuk pengamanan, pelaksana, tahapan, hakikat ancaman, penilaian resiko, perizinan, cara bertindak maupun kegiatan Kepolisian pasca pengamanan.
