Jakarta – Direktorat Tindak Pidana Narkoba Bareskrim Polri kembali memperluas operasi perburuan bos narkoba Fredy Pratama yang dianggap sebagai Escobar Indonesia hingga ke Thailand. Sebelumnya polisi sempat menangkap ratusan kaki tangan bos narkoba di Indonesia.
Dalam keterangannya, Wakil Direktur Direktorat Tindak Pidana Narkoba Bareskrim Polri, Kombes. Pol. Jayadi, S.I.K., M.H., mengatakan pihaknya terus bekerja sama dengan kepolisian luar negeri melalui Interpol untuk mencari Fredy. Saat ini pihak kepolisian menduga Fredy berada di Thailand.
“Prioritas pertama Thailand, berikutnya negara-negara tetangga. Dugaan sementara di sekitar Thailand. Tetapi juga kita tidak fokus wilayah itu, negara lain juga akan terus komunikasi,” ujarnya.
Bareskrim Polri membongkar operasi jaringan narkoba yang dikendalikan oleh seseorang bernama Fredy Pratama alias Miming alias Cassanova. Kabareskrim Polri, Komjen. Pol. Drs. Wahyu Widada, M.Phil., menyatakan mereka telah membentuk tim khusus untuk mengungkap jaringan tersebut sejak 2020 lalu.
Komjen. Pol. Drs. Wahyu Widada menyatakan bahwa Polri telah memburu jaringan ini sejak 2020-2023. Total ada 408 laporan polisi yang diungkap dengan jumlah tersangka sebanyak 884 orang. Sedangkan 39 tersangka yang ditangkap dalam operasi Escobar Indonesia dimulai dari periode Mei 2023.
semua tersangka dijerat Undang-undang Tahun 35 tahun 2009 tentang Narkotika, dan Undang-Undang Tindak Pidana Pencucian Uang (TPPU).
Sebagai informasi Kabareskrim Polri mengatakan bahwa polisi juga bekerja sama dengan Kepolisian Kerajaan Thailand, Kepolisian Kerajaan Malaysia, dan didukung pula polisi khusus narkoba Amerika Serikat, DEA..(Redaksiswanara)
