Cak Abid mendukung atas kinerja maksimal Densus 88 yang telah menginisiasi 391 orang anggota NII Sumbar untuk berikrar dan menyatakan kesetianya pada NKRI.
Cak Abid menilai, Densus 88 Antiteror Polri bekerja responsif, efektif, profesional dalam mencegah dan memberantas aksi teror diberbagai wilayah di Indonesia.

Kami mengapresiasi respons cepat Densus 88 AT Polri dalam membangun sinergitas baik dari unsur pemerintah, tokoh agama, tokoh masyarakat yang telah berhasil mengembalikan para anggota NII ke pangkuan NKRI, hal tersebut merupakan prestasi luar biasa yang menunjukan profesional Densus 88 AT Polri dalam menjaga dan membentengi Indonesia dari bahaya laten paham teroris yang anti Pancasila dan NKRI”, kata Cak Abid.
Menurut dia, cabut baiat ratusan anggota NII di Sumbar menjadi bukti bahwa Kadensus 88 dan jajarannya bekerja keras dan mampu menjawab berbagai asumsi publik soal penanggulangan aksi terorisme.
Ini juga membuktikan bahwa Kadensus 88 memiliki kompetensi dan keahlian serta telah bekerja maksimal dalam menjaring dan mengungkap jaringan aksi teror dengan sebuah lompatan-lompatan keberhasilan. Saya berharap Kadensus 88 dan jajarannya tidak berhenti sampai di sini dan terus bekerja extraordinary dalam menangkal berbagai gangguan dan ancaman tindakan aksi terorisme di Indonesia,” ungkap Cak Abid.
Seperti diketahui, sebanyak 391 orang anggota kelompok NII di Padang, Sumatera Barat, kembali berikrar setia pada NKRI lantaran sadar bahwa organisasi yang mereka ikuti terlarang.
Acara cabut baiat massal anggota NII dan sumpah setia terhadap NKRI Tahap 1 oleh ratusan orang tersebut dilangsungkan di Kantor Bupati Dharmasraya, Sumatera Barat, Rabu (27/4) kemarin.
Kegiatan tersebut adalah inisiasi oleh Detasemen Khusus (Densus) 88 Antiteror Polri bekerja sama dengan pemerintah daerah setempat. Serta dihadiri oleh Gubernur Sumbar, Bupati dan Forkopimda Kab.
