Bantul – Personel Lantas Polsek Srandakan Ipda Wiwid.R rutin setiap pagi mengatur lalu lintas dan membantu anak sekolah menyeberang jalan untuk memberikan rasa aman, Selasa (7/11/2023).
Seperti yang terlihat ketika petugas melakukan pengaturan arus lalu lintas sekaligus membantu menyeberangkan anak-anak sekolah yang akan berangkat ke sekolah di wilayah Srandakan, Bantul.
Personel menempati lokasi rawan laka lantas serta di lokasi simpang empat dan terdapat beberapa tempat pengaturan yang sengaja diploting di depan sekolah karena bersinggungan langsung dengan jalan raya.
“Tujuan kegiatan ini tidak lain untuk membantu anak sekolah menyeberang jalan menuju ke sekolahnya serta memberikan pengertian tentang cara aman ke sekolah,” kata Kanit Lantas Iptu Bardiyana.
Beliau juga menambahkan, bahwa kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan rasa aman dan nyaman, terutama untuk menjaga keselamatan pengguna jalan yang lain, baik yang menggunakan kendaraan maupun anak-anak sekolah yang ingin menyeberang jalan.
“Selain membantu menyeberangkan para siswa, Personel yang bertugas di lapangan juga memberikan pengetahuan kepada para siswa terkait bahaya tawuran atau ajakan orang yang tidak dikenalnya dalam memberikan tumpangan, untuk menghindari hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan,” ucapnya.
Selain itu, juga memberikan Pendidikan edukasi keselamatan, bagaimana cara menyeberang jalan apabila petugas tidak ada di lokasi dan memastikan jalan tersebut aman saat menyeberang.
