Jakarta – Penyidik Bareskrim Polri melakukan perpanjangan masa tahanan tersangka penistaan agama, Panji Gumilang. Perpanjangan masa penahanan tersebut dilakukan selama 40 hari ke depan.
“Telah dilakukan perpanjangan penahanan selama 40 hari ke depan. Sejak tanggal 22 Agustus sampai dengan 30 September,” jelasnya.
Menurut Karopenmas, penyidik masih membutuhkan waktu untuk melengkapi berkas perkara, sehingga diperlukan perpanjangan masa penahanan. Sebab, terdapat masukan dari jaksa penuntut umum (JPU) usai pelimpahan berkas pertama.
Panji Gumilang disangkakan Pasal 156 a, Pasal 14 Undang-Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 1946, dan Undang-Undang ITE.
Puluhan saksi telah dimintai keterangan oleh penyidik Bareskrim. Bahkan, beberapa penggeledahan telah dilakukan guna mencari alat bukti tambahan.(Redaksiswanara)
