Medan.- Kompolnas mengapresiasi gerak cepat Polda Sumut dalam menuntuskan kasus kematian Bripka Arfan Saragih (AS) yang dinilai pihak keluarga ada kejanggalan.
Apresiasi itu pun disampaikan Sekretaris Kompolnas, Irjen Pol (Purn) Benny Mamoto, saat mengikuti konperensi pres hasil gelar perkara kematian Bripka AS di Aula Tribrata Mapolda Sumut.
Ia menjelaskan, penanganan perkara kematian Bripka AS yang dilakukan Polda Sumut berjalan cukup transparan dan profesional. Selama 10 hari Polda Sumut telah menunjukkan komitmennya dalam menuntaskan perkara kematian Bripka AS secara transparan.
“Dua hari kita di Polda Sumut mengikuti gelar perkara bersama keluarga almarhum Bripka AS berjalan cukup terbuka tidak ada yang ditutupi. Kita juga lihat ratusan saksi telah diperiksa dan dimintai keterangan. Bahkan, gelar olah TKP, pra rekonstruksi yang dilakukan juga melibatkan para ahli untuk membuktikan kematian Bripka AS secara terang benderang,” tambahnya.
Ia menjelaskan, pihaknya turut melakukan pengawasan selama pelaksanaan gelar perkara terhadap kasus kematian AS. Begitu, adanya dugaan kasus penggelapan uang pajak para wajib pajak kendaraan bermotor di Samsat Pangururan, Kabupaten Samosir, masih terus berjalan.
Bripka AS tewas bunuh diri setelah meminum racun sianida. Jasad korban ditemukan di Dusun Simullop, Desa Siogung Ogung, Kecamatan Pangururan, Kabupaten Samosir, pada 6 Februari 2023. Personel Satlantas Polres Samosir itu bunuh diri diduga menggelapkan ratusan uang para wajib pajak mencapai Rp2,5 miliar di UPT Samsat Pangururan, Kabupaten Samosir. Hal itu dibuktikan setelah Polda Sumut menggelar gelar perkara.(Redaksiswanara)
