Madina – Polres Mandailing Natal (Madina) berhasil menemukan ladang ganja seluas lima hektar di perbukitan Tor Mangompang, Desa Pardomuan, Kecamatan Panyabungan Timur atau lima jam perjalanan pada Senin (6/11).
Kapolres Madina, AKBP HM Reza Chairul Akbar Sidiq, S.I.K., S.H., MH., dalam keterangannya menyampaikan, ladang ganja yang berusia enam bulan bulan tersebut langsung dimusnahkan dilokasi.
“Lahan ganja yang ditemukan itu berusia enam bulan. Totalnya diperkirakan ada 50 ribu batang daun ganja dengan panjang dua meter atau seberat 15 ton. Dan langsung dibakar di lokasi. Beberapa batang daun ganja dibawa ke Polres Madina untuk keperluan barang bukti,” ujarnya.
AKBP HM Reza Chairul Akbar Sidiq, menyebutkan pihaknya saat ini masih menyelidiki penemuan ladang ganja tersebut. Termasuk memburu pemilik ladang itu.
“Pemilik tidak berada di lokasi. Saat ini, kita sedang melakukan penyelidikan,” ungkapnya.
Pemusnahan ladang ganja ini merupakan sebuah komitmen Polres Madina dalam keseriusan pemberantasan narkoba.
Di akhir kesempatan ia berharap masyarakat selalu mendukung penuh gerakan yang dilakukan kepolisian untuk memberantas narkoba sampai ke akar-akarnya.
